The Algarve in Brief
The Algarve coastline stretches about 100 miles from the western-most tip to the Spanish border and is a delightful and brightly coloured region, with its fig trees, orange and almond trees. The southern coast boasts a long stretch of gorgeous sandy beaches, punctuated by rugged cliffs.

Many of our villas are located in the resorts of Vale de Parra, Gale, Dunas Douradas, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, as well as Albufeira which continues to be popular with people looking for an Algarve villa holiday.

Beaches
The western coastline is extremely dramatic, with cliffs of black rock and beaches that vary from tiny, intimate coves to long lengths of open soft sand.

Albufeira is an ideal family holiday area offering some of the best beaches in the Algarve - São Rafael, Praia de Coelho, Praia do Castelo and the long beach of Galé is within just a few minutes drive. Due to the maritime shelf and water currents the sea temperature can be often be surprisingly warm even in some of the winter months.

Countryside
Away from the coast the countryside varies enormously in its appeal due to the variety of plants and land contours.

The mountain region is well known for the layers of Roman terraces with granite stone walls that provide a supply of local vegetables, which can be found in the local markets. The local drink 'Medronho' also comes from this region.

Towns
Albufeira town is full of nightlife whilst maintaining its original character and charm and is renowned for its numerous good value restaurants, so an Algarve self catering apartment or villa in Albufeira, with its popular beach and old town, could be the ideal choice if you prefer to stay closer to the action.

Things to do
