Location This modern front-line apartment is located in a quiet area on the Port of Mahón and boasts spectacular sea views. The popular bars, restaurants, souvenir shops and a small supermarket are located on the promenade just a 5 minute walk away. The centre of Mahón, where you will find all local amenities, is less than 15 minutes from the apartment. Both south coast beaches (Binibeca, Punta Prima, Binisafúa) and north coast beaches (Arenal d’en Castell, Cavallería, Binimelá) can be reached within 15 minutes by car.
Accommodation The property has recently been fully refurbised with modern furnishings and fittings and is situated on the second floor of a quiet block of apartments. There is a fully equipped kitchen including an oven/hob, microwave, washing machine, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and hand blender. Lounge/dining room with flat screen Satellite TV (limited channels) and a DVD player. There is a small balcony leading from the lounge/dining room which is furnished with 2 chairs, creating an ideal spot for relaxing and absorbing the port views. There are two bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin and 1 shower room and both bedrooms have windows which look onto interior patios.
Accessibility As this apartment is located on the second floor and there is no lift it may not suitable for those with mobility problems.
Coast/Beach Situated in the Port of Mahon, this is a fabulous base for many areas of the island. The nearest beach at Sa Mesquida is a 10 minute drive away, other beaches such as Binibeca, Punta Prima and Son Bou are a 15 to 20 minute drive. For those not wishing to hire a car, there are regular bus services from the nearby bus station to many of the island beaches.
Golf Menorca's golf course at Son Parc is a 20 minute drive away.
Travel Mahon airport is a 10 minute drive away. Due to the location of the property car hire is not essential and taxi's can be picked up in front of the airport arrivals hall. There is also a bus service from the airport to the centre of Mahon.
Distances The situation of the property makes more than 50 restaurants available within walking distance. The historical centre of Mahon is within a 10 minute walk where many places of interest as well as shopping promenades and designer boutiques. All other areas of this beautiful island are reachable within 45 minutes drive. For those not wishing to venture far, you are in the perfect place to stroll around the harbour and absorb the luxurious yachts and cruise liners.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service The apartment will be cleaned for arrival and towels and bed linen are included in the price. A weekly linen change (sheets and towels) as well as an interim clean is included when the rental is for two weeks or more.
