Occupying an elevated plot close to the shore of Port Mahon in the sought-after residential area of Cala Llonga, it therefore offers spectacular views from the raised ground floor and upper level terraces, across to the bustling marina, shops and restaurants of the south shore of Port Mahon and the historic Isla del Rey, in the middle of the harbour.
The villa offers spacious accommodation arranged over two floors.
Entrance gate at street level opens to a short returning staircase accessing the long ground floor terrace, where there is a 12m x 3m swimming pool with separate children’s pool which both have a safety fenc. The main pool has the facility of pool heating for an additional charge and an automatic pool cover. Please note that the main pool has a uniform depth of 5ft – there is no ‘shallow end’. There is also a brick built BBQ with preparation area. Part of the ground floor terrace is covered by the upper level terrace above offering welcome shade for the exterior dining table and chairs and sunbeds if the summer sun becomes too much in the uncovered area of the ground floor!
The main entrance door to the villa is on this terrace and opens in to the entrance hall. Arranged around the imposing marble-floored entrance hall are three of the villa’s four bedrooms – one with double bed, another with two single beds and the third with bunk-beds. Also on the ground floor is a full family bathroom, a shower room/WC and a modern kitchen/dining room, fully equipped with fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and the other items necessary for a self-catering holiday; double doors from the dining area open onto the pool and sun bathing terrace.
A staircase leads up to the first floor where there is a large L shaped lounge furnished with very comfortable sofas and lounge chairs, coffee table, flat screen TV and DVD player. Large sliding doors open onto another terrace-balcony, from which there are wonderful views over the Port and down to the mouth of the harbour. Also on the first floor is the master bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite shower room/WC. The master bedroom, like all four bedrooms, has a range of fitted wardrobes and air conditioning.
Cala Llonga is an area of residential villas – including a good number of large and luxurious properties. Its properties nestle into a wide sweeping cove on the north side of Mahon habour, close to the historic Fortelesa La Mola. Cal Llonga has a useful supermarket open throughout the season, a bar-restaurant open to the public within the small Cala Llonga apart-hotel, and extensive boat moorings, some which may be available for short term rent. The nearest beach is the lovely natural beach of Cala Mesquida less than 5 minutes by car. The Port of Mahon with its large range of bars, restaurants, shops and moorings is just 6-7 minutes drive, and the airport and large hypermarkets on the Mahon commercial estate around 12 minutes.
